Hayden Christensen Will Play Anakin Skywalker Again In Star Wars Spinoff Show Ahsoka

Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Star Wars spinoff show Ahsoka.

It has now been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will once again play the role of Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming Star Wars spinoff show Ahsoka, which is set to stream on Disney Plus. The relationship between Ahsoka and Anakin Skywalker was established and fleshed out in the Clone Wars series. Hayden Christensen previously played the role of Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones.

The character of Ahsoka first appeared in its live action form in the second season of The Mandalorian, and was played by Rosario Dawson. Soon after her debut, the studio announced that Ahsoka would be receiving her very own spinoff show. The show is set to be written by Dave Filoni and produced by Jon Favreau. Hayden Christensen’s return to the Star Wars universe had already been announced previously, when it was confirmed that he would be returning as Darth Vader alongside Ewan McGregor for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. It appears that Christensen will be very busy in the coming months splitting his time shooting for both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka.

THR has confirmed that Christensen will play the part of Anakin Skywalker in the Ahsoka series. The series will take place five years after the events of the Return of the Jedi movie. Fans will remember that Darth Vader met his demise at the end of that movie, so it will be interesting to see how they bring the character back to life. Whichever direction Disney chooses to go with this, it does look like Hayden Christensen is fully committed to the project if he is willing to sign on for two separate projects.

Fans were over the moon when it was announced that Ewan McGregor would be returning as Obi-Wan, so excitement will understandably be hitting the roof amongst die hard Star Wars fans now that another legacy actor like Hayden Christensen is returning to aid with the continuity of the Star Wars universe.

Hayden Christensen has dealt with some criticism over the last two decades from fans for his depiction of Anakin. Now is the perfect opportunity for Christensen to correct any perceived flaws in the portrayal of the character, under the direction of modern day film-makers. Disney Plus has been committed to exploring and expanding the Star Wars universe in great detail. These are very exciting times for all Star Wars fans out there, and we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

We'll be sure to bring you more details about Hayden Christensen's involvement in Ahsoka as and when information becomes available.
